Chrisp...gay People In Thailand Forum Founder

Featured Replies

It is with profound sadness to report that Tony award-winning, lighting designer and Gay People in Thailand Forum Founder, Chris Parry aka ChrisP passed away a few days ago in San Diego. Chris so loved Thailand, his Thai partner, Champ, and passing time on this forum. Chris was one of my dearest friends and I am devastated. What a brilliant yet laidback Brit with such a kindred soul. RIP ChrisP. I love you.

This is terrible news. I'm absolutely shocked.

Does anyone have Champ's number, My family and I went to see him in Bangkok a couple of months ago. I'd like to get in touch

Chris P did a fantastic job here at Thaivisa. He will be sorely missed by a great many of us. :o

Thats terrible news. I was unfortunate to have never met him in person but found in interacting with him as a fellow moderator that he was a very kind, sympathetic person. This is very sad news indeed and must be a great loss to those who loved him. My deepest sympathies to his partner and his family and friends.

Chris was great fun. Those of you who didn't meet him missed a great guy. He came over to my flat about a year ago, just before I left Bkk.

We only went to visit Champ in November and I had no idea Chris was having any health problems.

Wow, what a shock.. RIP Chris.

Chris was a good guy. I wish his partner and family the best as they come to terms with his passing.

Cheers Chris, wherever you are :o

My deepest condolences to his family, his partner, and loved ones.

RIP, ChrisP.

A once familiar poster - My condolences. RIP Chris.

I am truly saddened to hear this, Chris and I started the gay forum together and we swapped so many ideas, we spoke many times early on in the gay forums life, and yet I knew virtually nothing about the man himself. I feel I have missed the chance to improve my own life by missing the chance to know him better.

I will never forget the ChrisP that I knew here on thaivisa.

I'm sorry to hear that, he was a friendly presence here some time ago.

I wish his family a lot of strength.

A terrible shock. Ijustwannateach and I and my Thai partner met ChrisP and Champ in Bangkok, had a great time with them, and never imagined that this was happening. Our condolences to Champ.

Such sad news, he was a kind hearted man who's goodness was obvious from his posts here on thaivisa.

My condolences to his family and friends.

I never knew the guy personally, but he always came across as a nice guy. A shame, real shame :o

im sure i am not the only one who will say that chris will be sorely missed. may he be at peace now and may many beautiful flowers spring from where he lay.

R.I.P. Chris :o

Condolences to his partner and family...Dukkha

Chris gave new meaning to the expression "Only the good die young".

For those who didn't get a chance to meet him personally, you missed a special guy.

RIP doll.

good luck in your next journey, crispy

That is a great loss to us all.

Condolences to his family and loved ones.

What sad news! I had hoped to meet him again, and I have not heard anything about him in ever so long. My condolences to his family and to Champ. I will attempt to contact Champ- I believe he once posted here, long ago- and let him know that many of Chris's electronic friends are deeply saddened.

Sorry to hear of the loss, Chris was a valued thaivisa.com member and, judging from his UCSD obituary, quite a talent.

We should do something to honour him and show our appreciation like the "ChrisP Award" for the best post on this forum; suggestions welcome !

RIP.

:o

Wow - I'm incredibly sad. He was an asset to TV and I was sad to see him go. Just goes to show how short life is - need to literally live it the best you can and do everything you plan because today might be your last.

My prayers and sympathies go out to Chris, his mates and loved ones. :o

Maybe up with "Sponsored By..." could also be a box "In Memory Of..."

Thou I didn't know him, R.I.P.

Tried phoning Champ - but no reply.

A nice gesture as rememberance of Chris would be to repost his obituary and pin it permanently atop this subforum.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of ChrisP. Chris ran the Gay People In Thailand section of ThaiVisa extremely well and will be sadly missed. My condolences to his partner, family and friends.

Peter
