Working to support marriage visa extention

Recommended Posts

Previously I used a pension letter to the embassy to support my retirement extension

However, now I am working again and with a change in my renewal dates, my pension letter will be 11 months old when I apply and not sure Immigration will like this.

As I am working, has anyone used their income in Thailand to support marriage extension and if so what proof is required by Immigration at CW?
Thanks in advance.

Where are you working?

If working here with a work permit you can use your income to meet the 40k baht income for an extension based upon marriage by showing tax payment receipts.

If working outside the country you can use your income to get the income letter from your embassy.

Many Thanks ubonjoe.

I work for a Thai company in Thailand

Do you mean my monthly payslips, or do I get a special receipt from my employer to show immigration,

cheers

I assume you have a work permit that will need to be included when you apply.

They will want proof of tax payments. If you have done your tax return for last year the will also want a copy of it as well.

Thanks again

I will include a copy of my work permit.

The company deducts tax each month, I assumed this was all that was needed.

Not been employed in Thailand before, so did not know about needing a tax return,

cheers
