A Thai woman and her French boyfriend, who are sought in relation to the death of the woman’s Italian ex-husband in Phichit’s Bung Narang district, are believed to be still laying low in Thailand.

This is because Bt10,000 was recently withdrawn from the deceased man’s bank account via another bank’s ATM, said provincial police chief Pol Maj-General Thawatchai Muannara on Wednesday.

Although the French boyfriend had previously been blacklisted from entering Thailand, he still came in via a natural border channel. This means he cannot leave the country through immigration checkpoints without raising a red flag, police said.

Police suspect that another three people in the area might have been involved in the killing or have assisted the couple, Thawatchai said.

Rujira Eiumlamai, 38, and her French boyfriend, identified only as Hamuari, 34, fled following the discovery of body parts partially burned in the ashes of a bonfire of rubber tyres in a wooded area near Bung Thab Chan Pond in Tambon Laemran last Friday. These were later confirmed to belong to Rujira’s ex-husband, Giuseppe de Stefani, 61.

Thawatchai said police had interviewed 10 witnesses and obtained information that the tyres used in burning de Stefani’s body parts might be from the French man’s rented house in Pho Prathab Chang district. They also learned that a five-litre gasoline container was missing from Rujira’s house in Bung Narang.

What a pair of tools on many levels . For murdering someone for money , their blatant adultery ,thinking they would get away , never mind the guilt they face for ever ,escape or not . They are going to pay a terrible price for their ignorant wickedness . Their foolishness has really screwed up their lives beyond all hope . Lets hope they are caught and severely punished by the courts for their heinious crimes .

What is a "natural border channel"? The article says " entering Thailand, he still came in via a natural border channel".

I think it was an" unnatural border" crossing really, and

that's most likely how he will leave,if the police don't

catch them soon, the things people do for money, and

i suspect it was not a great amount anyway.bad enough

killing someone, but to cut them up and burn them,I just

hope when the police finally find them, they try to escape

are gunned down, then justice would be served.

Natural borders refers to mountain and jungle that separates countries. Back in 2006 myself and some friends ended up in Laos while doing some offroad biking up near Nan. This was pre-GPS on phone days and the only way we knew we were in Laos was when we were stopped by some Laotian soldiers at a village we decided to by some snacks at. After explaining our mistake they explained that we were about 40km inside Laos and that we should travel with the Sun on our right to get back into Thailand. All smiles and we were off and back in Thailand for dinner without a single checkpoint.
