Four people were killed and one was wounded after a gunman opened fire at a western Pennsylvania car wash early on Sunday, state police said.

(Reuters) - Five people were killed and one was wounded after a gunman opened fire at a western Pennsylvania car wash early on Sunday, state police said. The attacker was believed to be among the dead.

Shots rang out about 2:40 a.m. at Ed's Car Wash in Melcroft, about 53 miles (85 km) southeast of Pittsburgh, police said.

The shooting at the coin-operated facility was still under investigation, and the motive was unknown, police said.

Pittsburgh television station WPXI reported the dead as three men and two women, but state police declined to confirm that information.

Five people were killed, including a man believed to be the shooter, and one was wounded, police said.

"There is no continued threat to the community," a police spokesman said.

White shooter and victims located in a rural community with jelousy as a cause.

11 School shootings in the USA since the new year.

And Trump wants to restrict visitors from certain muslim countries to make America safe.

How about gun control instead?

More broadly, 3,066 Americans have been killed in terrorist attacks from 9/11/2001 through 12/31/2014, including perpetrators and excluding deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq. o 2,961 of these deaths occurred on American soil. o 2,902 of these deaths occurred during the attacks on September 11, 2001.

There are lots of things I can think of doing at 2.40 in the morning, but going out and shooting people isnt one of the m! My thoughts and prayers go out to all the people that are buying guns. What a  s...hole. Now if all these victims had guns to protect themselves, it would have been a nice shoot out!

Any type of homicide is too much but gun-related homicide is down.

Really? Lets see how long until the next mass shooting.

Seems to me that there is a constant threat when any idiot can run around carrying a gun.

There are more guns than people in the US so if we apply your logic there would be far more gun homicide. I'm not anti or pro 2nd amendment but gross generalizations and "seems" aren't facts.

Fact #1 Gun Crime down

Fact #2 Perception of violent crime up

Terrorism is not just about how many lives have been lost due to Terror attacks.

It is about the general population feeling terrorized, unable to go to a concert, or fearful of going on the subway, or fearful of being in large crowds.

Having plenty of guns around somewhat lessons those fears for a vast majority of the population. At least they feel that they are able to protect themselves and their families, if necessary.

Take away all the guns, and then fear itself will become much more prevalent.

Speculation disguised as facts.

Even stronger, polls indicate a considerable majority favours more gun control (or make that favors).

Five isn't enough for me to want to give up my guns. The police saying don't worry we'll protect you doesn't either. I am more fearful of getting physically attacked by a younger stronger more ruthless person than shot with a gun.

If you had been raised in a European country your remarks would be totally invalid
