DPM Wissanu: Too early to say when election will take place

BANGKOK, 29th January 2018 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam has reiterated that it is still too early to say when a general election will be staged.

The deputy premier in charge of legal affairs told reporters that it is too soon to determine the exact date of the next general election, but doesn’t deny the possibility that the national poll could be postponed given the current circumstances. He assured the public however that any delay should not be longer than a month.

Wissanu is of the opinion that it is neither illegal nor unconstitutional to push back the enforcement of a law, stressing that the postponement doesn’t necessarily affect the country’s reform roadmap.

The deputy prime minister was responding to public criticism directed at the National Legislative Assembly’s endorsement of the 90-day extension of the enforcement of the draft organic Members of Parliament Act this week.

good thai answer by a supposedly intelligent man; quite in line with the thai version of morality

Isn't it simple addition? 90 days from Nov. 15, 2018 is what, mid--February 2019? How hard is that?

Assuming that everyone remains peaceful of course.

Be fair, 4 years is no where near enough time !

Guess which news I trust the least

  1. Trump in a BBC interview: I’m very popular in Britain and I respect women.
  2. Prayuth in several press statements: there will be free and fair elections in November 2018.
  3. Pope announces: after renovation the Vatican will be transformed to a shelter for homeless people and refugees.

My my, isn't that a lovely big picture to dwarf everything else....Oh I get it, it has to be that big to conceal the lies eh?

So he means March?

It's just been a couple days and they already make contingency plans.

Couldn't plan a party in a brewery this lot.
