question about over stay with M visa

Featured Replies

hello - im not in bkk with a M visa
accidentally i forgot when the visa expired

my visa end on the 12.1.18
today we in the 29.1.18

my question is - can i go to the immigration office in changwattana to pay the 1900 extension and avoid the 500 baht per day fine ?

Do you mean a non-m visa issued to work in the media.

Is it your permit to stay that has ended or your visa that has expired? Your visas expiration date means nothing once you are in the country.

Immigration will not a waive the overstay fine if they were to allow you to apply for an extension of stay. If you went today you would be liable for a 5,500 baht fine.

If you have a multiple entry visa that is still valid you can leave and re-enter the country to get a new new entry. Just pay the overstay fine on departure from the country.

No need to get a new visa unless your current one has expired.

Your permission to stay has expired, but has the multi-entry visa expired?

Look at the "use by" date on the visa that you got at an embassy or consulate.  If the visa has not expired you could still use it to re-enter Thailand once you pay the fine and sort out the outstanding overstay.
