Illicit dump reappears on Pattanakarn Road

PATTAYA:--For the second time in four months Nongprue workers have had to clear Pattanakarn Road of illegally dumped trash.

Sub-district legal chief Charoen Weingsima led a team of sanitation workers to collect a huge mound of garbage, construction debris and broken furniture left on the side of the road near Classic Villa Village.

Workers used heavy equipment to scoop up the mess and sort it, with some recycled and the rest buried in a local landfill.

Similar waste was found dumped over several nights in September on Pattanakarn near the Tungklom Tanman intersection.

Pattanakarn Road runs through the center of Nongprue Sub-district and links to major East Pattaya and Jomtien Beach roads. Due to its size it is difficult to monitor, officials said.

I saw a truck parked up and fly tipping on the Railway line bypass recently,  annoyed me but stopping and taking pictures might have been risky. There is a tip and rubbish handling area not very far further North.

In the UK they position hidden cameras to record the fly tippers and get their registration details, then seek them out and whack them with big fines.  Complaining is one thing, being proactive is what is required.
