40 long-haired police officers face transfer

 

 

Forty police officers have been ordered by the Royal Thai Police to immediately report themselves to Pol Lt-Gen Suraphol Phinitchob, commissioner attached to the RTP, for wearing wrong hair in violation of the police regulations.

 

The order was issued by Pol Col Amnart Utaramart, a deputy commander attached to the police operations centre, on Sunday – one day after the Royal Thai Police instructed the police inspector-general and a special task force to conduct a random survey of policemen who defy the police regulation by wearing long hair.

 

The random survey found 40 police officers with ranks from a lance corporal to lieutenant-colonel attached to the Metropolitan Bureau, Satun, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Phang-nga provincial police officers have defied the regulation.

Agree they need to get their hair out of their eyes and get on a first aid course and maybe give some basic help to critically injured people mowed down by useless drivers instead of watching and doing nothing.

It's one thing to have their hair too long, but how many of them have any medical training to work in an operations centre?

what a hairy situation, it won't be "long" till the fringe benefits come to and end, so sort it out or you won't make the cut

Yep.... Long hair, shooting innocent civilians, major bribery or graft/, beating and raping women... When it comes to justice for crimes committed by the police and military , one punishment fits all.

As long as someone does a Thorogood job of cutting the hair...

Yes, they won't stoop to look at someone lying on the ground dying after a motorcycle accident.

Holy CRAP not  long hair, I mean gosh thats really serious!!!! they should be shot! Thank goodness everything else in the "farce" is spot  on.

Did the 40 happen to be women cops? Long hair prevent them from doing their jobs?

Maybe if men they wanted to look like Al Pacino as Serpico in that popular (still) sticker...

It also wouldn't hurt if they gave those policemen a ballpoint so they can write fines for traffic-offenders.

Agree... long hair doesn't look good with the condom tight fit uniforms and the ugly combat boots

they all wear in the heat and humid weather of Thailand...

Be realistic, they're already are way overmanned with defectives

Well all the police are totally recognizable now  easy to see .Short back and sides must be police or army .

Of course, if they wear the gear often enough it makes it impossible to identify the ones running a shakedown.

 

Is that a hair pin, or tie your hair in a knot RTP style sort of a thing?

 

If it is, it will be copied, sold and used to commit fake police crimes.

So if Im a criminal organisation in Thailand - have everyone grow their hair long.  Easy to spot the cops.

Just transfer them to the south for an attitude adjustment.
