webfact
Two new teachers crushed to death by truck in Samut Prakan By The Nation Two new teachers were crushed to death on Thursday morning by a trailer truck on a Samut Prakan road just 100 metres away from their school, police said. Police said Namfon Boontem, 26, and Kasornkamol Damsup, 25, were killed when their Honda Scoopy motorcycle hit a truck and their heads were crushed when they hit the pavement on Suksawat-Pom Phra Chulachomklao Road in Tambon Laem Fahpha in Phra Samut Chedi district. The two were teachers at Wat Trai Mitr school. Watcharee Meesoy, a teacher at the school, said the two had just passed probation after starting at the school last September. The two stayed in the same room at the school’s teachers residence and rode their motorcycle to the school. Watcharee said the two apparently lost control of the motorcycle as it climbed up a bridge crossing a canal, causing them to hit a truck in the opposite lane. The bridge was built uneven with the road. Police took the truck driver, Somsak Thibodee, 41, for questioning. Police said they would interrogate more witnesses before deciding whether to place charges. Popular Post zaphod reborn
Quote The bridge was built uneven with the road. Will that information be reported by RTP to DLT so that the bridge can be repaired or rebuilt? No. Aside from all the poor driving and poor vehicle maintenance, dangerous highway design/construction ensures that Thailand will remain the most dangerous country in which to operate a vehicle. 5

Popular Post xerostar
This was so tragic and preventable. Many times I've almost lost control of my vehicle due to unexpected (not sign posted) road hazards. Suspension-busting huge pot holes, a 4" concrete ridge where the road surface joined a bridge, humps that could launch the car into the air if hit at speed, road washaways with no barrier just to name a few. The authorities don't seem to care if people are killed by their negligence. Nobody taking responsibility.Sent from my SM-N915F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

So, working at the school since SEPTEMBER and lost control. More likely speeding as they 'knew' the route. 2
