Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has vowed to punish those who try to help construction tycoon Premchai Karnasuta, who has been accused of poaching wild animals, to escape from his wrongdoing.

“Don’t write nonsense stuff that someone would help him to get away with the charges. Everyone has to abide by the law and justice system,” Prayut said on Thursday.

“Committing wrongdoing is wrong. No matter how powerful a person, anyone who violates the laws must be prosecuted following provable evidence,” Prayut said.

Premchai, the president of Italian-Thai Development Plc (ITD), one of Thailand’s largest construction companies, has been charged, along with three others, with illegal poaching in the Thung Yai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary.

Social critics and social media users have put pressure on authorities, questioning if there was any attempt by the state to help the high-flying figure escape punishment.

  • Sure. Right. Cos no one has ever been helped to escape justice in Thailand before. Not Boss, not Yingluck, not the deputy PM with his 25 luxury watches.   Nonsense? If you say so.

Wish this bonehead would stop spouting about leaving things to "the justice system". In its present state it can't be referred to as anything other than a total shit show, dispensing verdicts that are a complete affront to justice.

As for this fat corrupt old slug who was out hunting, in any credible justice system his flat out denials now would harm his ultimate sentencing later when he pleads guilty and immediately gets bail after being sentenced to decades (despite sentence reductions for guilty pleas).

The justice system is a sad reflection of the country at large

Oh.  That tycoon.  For a brief moment, I thought....

Gotta wonder who won the lucky draw to start taking the business that will be opening up...

It would seem that everyone's favorite, General Happiness, is going full bore into ‘vote for me’ mode.

He knows the Junta record on corruption is…well…unfailingly corrupt, so he’s going take any opportunity to throw a few sacrificial pawns under the bus. This will clearly demonstrate his ‘unimpeachable honesty, profound integrity, and unwavering commitment to social justice.

It’s electioneering pure and simple.

Traditionally the military (junta) only protect their own; especially high ranking military tycoons. And on those seemingly frequent occasions when military personnel injure and kill military cadet/s.

Apply the same pressure on watchgate, former chief of police and mr Suthep all facing charges of misconduct and then people might believe you.

After the above comment by him of no brains, now you know who got upset, one so high should not comment on everyday legal matters unless a watch promised did not arrive

Can you explain what the "decking" is?

Is it something to do with foundations at certain points perhaps?

I didn't realise anyone had been awarded anything yet, regarding the railway projects?

There again I struggle to keep up with what's happening on them - they seem to change their minds/specifications/train speeds on an almost daily basis.

That is where you can set up the deck chairs and watch the derailments.

Unless they committ treason and stage a coup, that is. :saai:

Just watch this space. A critical test in terms of measuring the bullshit from on top will be whether the guy be awarded bail for some paltry sum or will he remain in the slammer as an ordinary Thai would be pending trial.Oh he has already has....

Ha ha ha!

When I was posting my original question about decking, I was initially considering adding my own witty retort to it, perhaps something like:

Decking:

Can you buy it in B&Q? (A UK DIY superstore)

or

Is it what happens to you after an alcohol fuelled argument? - "I ended up decking the drunk git."

A word smith he aint.   It takes the focus off watches and the hassling of peaceful demonstrators.

PM Herr General Prayut is a master of irony.

How about Mr. WATCHES??? Is anyone helping him to avoid justice????....
