No, that's what idiocy looks like. The U.S. needs immigrants, both to off-set a shrinking native born population, to do the necessary, hard, dirty, zero benefits and zero job security jobs U.S. citizens don't want, and to keep the U.S. on top technologically. Unfortunately some politicians find it advantageous to scapegoat immigrants the way the Nazis scapegoated Jewish people, and tiny minded people who love having a scapegoat for whatever they think isn't right in their world eagerly jump on board. MAGA-world's hostility to immigrants will do more long-term damage to the U.S. than the idiotic and unnecessary Iran war.
