Climate-change–driven accelerated sea-level rise detected in the altimeter era

Featured Replies

Hello alarmist!

There's a little word in that article that has huge significance..."if".

If nothing else, humans certainly have plenty of time to prepare.

I see the bit where they used 25 years of historic satellite altimetry to measure sea-level.  What I don't see is any connection to climate change other than the times scale. Surely one would need to do some volume calculations based on solid water changing to liquid water then average that out over the area of the oceans.

This melted ice cannot include that lost in the Arctic as that is already floating. So where does it come from? Antarctica is taking about .25mm off the sea level rise per year.

But it would appear as a resident of Bangkok I should but some thicker flip-flops.
