jackdd
What exactly is the question now? If he was born and registered in Thailand he is Thai, he probably just doesn't have a passport. He just has to go to the Amphoe (take the birth certificate), get a Thai ID card, then get a passport, leave the country with his british passport and come back with his Thai passport. Just confirming to get a Thai ID he reports to the Amphoe with birth certificate they can issue a Thai ID card just after the Thai ID card to work in Thailand does not need work permit as will be Thai keep British passport for travelling thankyou

samran
If he hasn’t left the UK yet he should get a Thai passport at the embassy in London before departure to ensure he doesn’t have to worry about visas on arrival. Following that, he can go to the district office he is registered at and get a new Thai ID card.
