PM Prayut ensures sufficient water supply for agricultural use during drought

BANGKOK, 21 February 2018 (NNT) - The Prime Minister has given an assurance that farmers working inside irrigation areas will have a sufficient supply of water during the dry season.

PM Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Tuesday that the amount of water retained by the Royal Irrigation Department for use in all areas under its supervision will be sufficient for agricultural purposes during the upcoming dry season.

Gen. Prayut stated that water storage in the country's dams is currently at around 75 percent of their capacity.

As for farmers outside the irrigation areas, the PM said that all will need to decide cautiously what and how much they will grow in order to get through the annual drought.

Concerning air pollution in Thailand, Gen. Prayut said that many factors, other than the coal-fired power plants, are to blame and they include traffic conditions and industrial plants.

? Nevertheless, he said that related agencies have been urged to make sure air quality control systems are working in accordance with standards and are helping tackle the pollution problem.

Who will be first for the firing squad if when the irrigation department screw up and Kim Jong- Prayuth loses face?

edit: I obviously meant it in an Archimedes screw up kind of way.

Dont worry, there will be no  screwups on this one because absolutely nothing will be done. Just some empty words for ignorant farmers as a form of vote buying

How to (try to) make yourself a hero?
Let an expected drought be announced, which in fact is not expected because all reservoirs are well filled for this time of the year.
Two days later announce that nobody needs to worry because the almighty boss will take action for his country.
It's so transparent ...!

Is this his latest divine intervention to solve all the ills of Thailand??
