geovalin
A European tourist was slightly injured while riding the bamboo train in Battambang province’s Banan district on Saturday afternoon when the train derailed along a curve in the tracks. District police chief Phan Vanny said that the bamboo train was not to blame because the tourist was a bit careless. “The bamboo train swerved at the curve, so it got off the track, but the tourist was only slightly injured and we applied alcohol on his wound and now he already went home,” he said. Mr Vanny did not identify the tourist, but noted he was old and frail and has since returned to his home country. “The bamboo train is not fast,” he said. “As you know, it takes the bamboo train 40 minutes to complete a track of under four kilometres. However, most of the foreigners coming to visit Banan are elderly and weak.” “It is a ride to see the beauty of nature,” he added. “It is not to reach the end of the track faster. We cannot blame the bamboo train.” read more http://www.khmertimeskh.com/50110607/tourist-injured-bamboo-train-derailing/ -- © Copyright Khmer Times 27/

visarunner
have been on the lorries myself a couple of times. I never seen a curve, I guess they refer to the uneven tracks. Hope the Tourist is doing fine.
