Is Bali a good place for a tourist visa?

Featured Replies

Are they trigger happy with red stamps?

Was thinking of going for a month or two at some point, but don’t want a red stamp.

PS I’ve never been before (well I have, but not for visa).

No red stamps from there as far as I know.

You need a ticket out of the and proof of accommodations to get the visa.

They have always required an outbound flight, but the proof of accommodation must be a relatively new on. Ubonjoe, are you sure about that?

They started asking for the accommodation a few years ago. And there have been more recent reports of them wanting the accommodations. Just noticed I forgot to post about financial proof.

You could contact them about it.

Yes, I did a TV there about two years ago; very relaxed, quiet and friendly, but sticklers for the rules:

  • Show $700 or equivalent in recent bank statement (I'd say no older than a week)
  • Show flight out (probably up to 90 days in advance, but check)
  • Show accommodation, either rental agreement or hotel booking for at least first few days (if necessary use Agoda and book hotel with pay-on-arrival, then cancel after visa issued)
