BANGKOK, 27th February 2018 (NNT) - Thailand's Social Security Office (SSO) has raised its medical expense coverage related to workplace accidents to 2 million baht.

According to SSO Secretary General, Suradej Waleeitthikil, the SSO has revised its medical coverage benefits for employees under the social security system.

The limit for initial medical coverage for employees injured on the job is 50,000 baht. In cases of serious injury, the coverage increases to 1 million baht.

As for those receiving medical treatment at a public hospital, they are able to claim up to 2 million baht in medical expenses. For more information, employees are advised to contact the SSO at 1506 or visit www.sso.go.th.
