BANGKOK, 1 March 2018 (NNT) – The Department of Business Development (DBD) is looking to add value and enhance the nation’s service businesses.

The DBD has acknowledged that service providers contribute a significant proportion of the country’s GDP, hire over 10 million citizens, or 73 percent of all employees and serve a crucial role in the country’s grassroots economy with a presence in the tourism sector and other industries.

The department is now working to enhance service providers such as logistics companies, beauty and health service providers and restaurants, improving their quality, competitiveness and sustainability. They are to be connected to relevant agencies to extend their capabilities.

The department has discussed the effort with 18 other agencies, seeking to draft a framework, reduce redundancies and increase exchanges between the state, private organizations and startups. Its target is to grow the service sector 6 percent over the next 5 years.

Including the service providers in Nana and Soi Cowboy and Pattaya and just about every other location in Thailand.

But sssh! please don't mention it. PM Prayut doesn't want anyone to know prostitution exists in Thailand.
