The lawyer for both a teacher arrested over allegations that he falsely claiming Bt30 million in lotto winnings, and his prime witness in staking the claim, has denied that the teacher told police he was guilty while in custody.

“No, he has not made any confession,” said Kriangkrai Nakwaree, a lawyer for teacher Preecha Kraikruan, on Friday.

Preecha and Rattanaporn Supatip, who has regularly sold him lottery tickets, are accused of filing a false complaint in an attempt to take the big prize from its legitimate owner, retired Lieutenant Charoon Wimul.

Both Preecha and Rattanporn were arrested on Wednesday.

Kriangkrai said Preecha and Rattanaporn will seek bail and police would not object to their bail request.

God, give me strength . . . even the <flippin'> lawyers are in on the act, now. Maybe the Lottery winnings should be 'spread out a bit', he's thinking. There's no limits on lies and deceit in Thailand, he's reminding us all.
