I'm interested to find out how Thai Employment law views notice periods.

I'm currently on a full time employment contract, with supporting visa+work permit. My employment contract (written in english) states i have to give 90days notice if i wish to leave the company, but its been suggested this is against Thai Employment law

Does anyone have any information or links as to where i can find out the exact details of thai employment law, or has anyone been in a similar situation?

according to thai laws, the notice period is 30 days.

your contract should include a clause on dispute settlement and legality of the agreement. here it is usually stated that legal disputes arising from the agreement will be subject to the labour laws of thailand and court of jurisdiction should be central labour court of thailand. is this clause included in your contract?

Thai Labor Dept states that 90 days is acceptable and not violation of labor laws, if both parties have mutually agreed upon the 90 days notice in a contract.
