Video: Hunt on as pick-up backs over police patrol bike after failing to stop at Chonburi checkpoint

 

 

A dash cam video was posted on Facebook that showed a white pick-up truck with a container on the rear back over a police patrol motorcycle.

 

Two policemen managed to avoid serious injury by jumping clear.

 

The pick-up then reversed into the dash cam vehicle and then fled by entering waste ground on the left side of the road that was in heavy traffic.

 

 

The police patrol had earlier chased the pick-up after it failed to stop at a checkpoint in the Don Hua Lor jurisdiction.

 

Police found the vehicle abandoned near a temple in Bang Phra sub-district of Muang district of Chacherngsao and are trying to find the driver.

dangerous situation though did remind me of a cross between benny hill/keystone cops  skit

Until they start giving out sentences that actually act as a deterrent, we will continue to read these reports on here, on a daily basis.

And when they catch up with him he will say he can't report at the Police Station until next Friday as he is busy.   When he eventually comes in he will say he was under 'fierce pressure' and 'severely stressed' as somebody had kicked his dog the day before.   500 Baht fine and off to do it again next week !

The way the monks are behaving recently , I'd check the temple first !

They don't stop these type of things happening to Joe public, so they shouldn't be surprised when it then happens to them.

How many times have you sprung this particular ambush? NO ONE was making light of your situation. The comment to which you allegedly took umbrage was clearly made in jest & until this website adopts webcams too NO ONE can see whether or not any of the contributors are disabled, inc the pair you've chosen to have a pop at today.

I think most Thai pick up drivers are a bit crazy, as are the van drivers here!

It is an irony that the Pattaya police who prey on those they are supposed to serve and protect was on the receiving end for once.  Perhaps 'receiving end' was a poor choice of words?

Might have done a runner because he was transporting drugs.

20yrs / 30yrs / life sentence / death sentence... pretty deterring for most of us.

That video was actually funny, looke like an episode from Benny Hill .
