Aussie D
My extension of stay based on employment ends April 30. If I have a termination letter from my employer stating this date can I cancel the extension at the border? I plan to leave the day before which is a Sunday so immigration won’t be open. My employer has already said I don’t need to work on the Monday and will cancel my work permit on or after that date.
ubonjoe
Your extension will become void when you leave the country. Immigration at Nong Khai will want the termination letter or they would not allow you to leave the country.

You could go to immigration a few days before the 30th and they would post date the cancellation to the date on the termination letter. That ways you would get a formal cancellation and have no problems at the border.
