I have a question regarding Non-B Visa status after changing jobs. Right now I work at a school in Roi Et. I have my one-year extended visa and work permit. So currently everything is ok. But at the end of this semester I'm planning to change schools. Now, if I change schools I know that I'll have to cancel my work permit and get a new one. However, I have no idea what happens to my Non-B Visa. Basically the question is "When I change schools, do I lose my Non-B Visa?". Do I have to apply for a new one from scratch? If yes, after my visa has been cancelled, how many days do I have before I leave the country?

My understanding it that your Non-Im B will be cancelled when your work permit is cancelled and you will have 7 days to leave the country. However, TIT and I have heard of cases where the school or the Labor Ministry forgot to notify immigration and teachers were able to simply get a new work permit on their old visa!

Sorry I can't be more definite!
