BANGKOK — No court date has been set for a Russian sex guru and Belarusian escort claiming to have compromising information about the US presidential election, police said Wednesday.

For a week, the pair has languished behind bars at the Bangkok Immigration Detention Center after they were arrested in Pattaya while giving “advanced sex” courses. They were charged with working in Thailand without a permit, an offense that could see them deported, but officials have yet to take any known actions so far.

Anastasia Vashkevich (a.k.a. Natstya Rybka) has led a colorful life and no doubt has interesting things to say...  but her association with Oligarch Oleg Deripaska is demonstrably true... confirmed via posted video/photos of her on Deripaska's yacht ... also aboard in same video/pics was a senior Russian govt official -- Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Prikhodko.  Whether Rybka was able to record (as she claims) anything incriminating re Russians and Trump or his campaign??? Doubtful. But there *may* (pure speculation) be something she heard or recorded related to Deripaska and his connections to Manafort, who has even closer ties to Dem (DNC) political operatives versus Manafort's short tenure on Trump's campaign. Manafort was a very regular D.C. visitor to Podesta Group (closely tied to DNC & Clintons) ... Both Podesta Group & Manafort were lobbying for pro-Russia Ukranian Party of Regions.

Bottomline... Rybka seems to be an opportunist who has taken bad advice and is playing a very dangerous game (going after Putin's close allies). She's 'at risk' no matter where she ends up. Probably smart for her to shout as loudly as she can and play to a media eager to find anything sordid that might tarnish Trump. The more publicly her 'tale' is told, the more it will be hard for her to be "disappeared" or slipped a deadly nerve agent.

She has nowhere to hide safely. On the other hand if she could get to the Ecuadorian embassy in London there would be someone there waiting for her with open arms

On second thought, here's another possibility:  Now that ex model Hope is leaving as Trump's communications director, perhaps he's looking for a replacement with similar attributes and skills that the Donald obviously is looking for.

Little Nasty just might fit the bill. She obviously has the skills and talents Trump wants. Just a phone call from good buddies Big D to Big P, and the deal is done. Nasty is on her way to a government job in the White House.....

Oh, and as part of the deal, Trump's personal lawyer cuts a check for $130,000 or so to the little lady to guarantee her silence on all matters Trump and Russia related, not to mention the destruction of her audio tapes. Presto, problems solved. Everyone's happy...

Let's see: Ivana (Czech), Melania (Slovenia), Nastya (Belarus)...

The OP writers are liars. Nothing in the article mentions Trump.   Every body in the World knows what the Russians did and the idiot who thinks she will get anything from this to help her is dreaming.

Except for the 35%+ of Americans, mostly Republicans, who still believe Trump is their god and can do no wrong. And that the whole Russian election meddling deal is, as Trump has at times said, "fake news."  Those folks seem not to know.

She's not ugly, and the pics on Thai media don't do her justice.

When you combine these with the number of false stories involving Trump from "people with goodwill", it's truly mind boggling. Adding Trump's own false stories to the mix is what really gives this presidency that extra oomph.

What does her physical appearance have to do with it?  Is she more guilty, in your estimation, because you don't like how she looks?  .....or because you disapprove of her alleged profession?

I'm glad you're not a judge.  You would declare handsome/pretty people believable, and ugly people guilty.  You wouldn't even have to hear testimony.  You could simply make a decision on appearances.

And what professions do honest people partake in?  Politics?  Military?  Police?  Investment brokers?

Wow, have you thought of being a professional psychic?  If you know what everyone in the world knows, .....that's impressive.

And to top it off, you know that the girl is lying and she will gain nothing from her attempts to not be forcibly returned to Belarus.   That's also impressive.

Here's a rule of thumb:  If Trump's goons and/or Putin's goons are assigned to clandestinely silence someone, one can be pretty sure that person has something interesting to report.   At the least, we (the general public or Mueller's team) should hear what she has to say.  If it's hog wash, so be it.  Then we're back to square one.

Who knows...she and her tapes might end up being a protected witness in a U.S. (special prosecutor) criminal investigation into Russian election meddling, etc. etc.

Probably her best (only) hope of surviving the affair...

You know, the world is getting to be a more scary place all the time...

Re the future fate of this lady, you only have to read the news lately to see the former Russian spy defector in the UK and his daughter who just were the targets of an assassination attempt via some apparent poisoning, and are now hospitalized, last update I saw.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/russian-spy-poisoned-polonium-chilling-12133755

Presumably this was the work of the Russians, and this latest episode wasn't the first time such a thing had happened with Russian dissidents in the UK.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/mar/06/poisoned-umbrellas-and-polonium-russian-linked-uk-deaths

Quote

Alexander Litvinenko, November 2006

The fatal poisoning of the former officer with the Russian spy agency FSB sparked a major international incident. Litvinenko fell ill in November 2006 after drinking a cup of tea laced with radioactive polonium. He met his killers in a ground-floor bar of the Millennium hotel in Mayfair, central London. The pair were Andrei Lugovoi – a former KGB officer turned businessman, who is now a deputy in Russia’s state Duma – and Dmitry Kovtun, a childhood friend of Lugovoi’s from a Soviet military family. Vladimir Putin denied all involvement and refused to extradite either of the killers from Moscow.

Then a few months back, there was the incident in Malaysia where the brother of the North Korean dictator was assassinated by a nerve agent that some apparently dupe women smeared on his face. Presumably this was the work of the North Koreans.

And of course, art imitates life. Last night, I was watching one of the new season episodes of the Showtime series "Homeland" where a U.S. army general, who has been arrested for a failed assassination plot against an incoming woman president, is killed on his entry to federal prison, apparently by a guard who swabbed some kind of poison into his mouth during a strip and search.

So in this kind of world, where you've got national actors like the Russians and North Koreans, people don't seem to last very long if you get on the wrong side of their rulers. Doesn't take guns or knives or even bombs anymore to kill people.  That makes for a scary world.

Even in Thailand, where any variety of people (Thai and foreign) have ended up dying in prison/jail/detention under less than clear circumstances.
