Sending a letter (parcel?- degree certificates) from UK to Ko Samui ,Thailand - Customs?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I am currently in Thailand and need  2 degree certificates (Certificate + Transcripts) sent to an address in Ko samui, Thailand  - To do TEFL course and get a work permit.

I could arrange a courier to pick up from my guardians address .....

1) from reading online I may need a customs form to go with the letter--- is this correct or is that just for valuable parcel items?

I say this because my guardian is terrible at computers and would not be able to print off any forms...........or maybe they could pick up a form from the post office in the UK?  ..... if it is needed in the first place

2) it says 5-10 days delivery time.to thailand.........Does anyone know if delivery would  actually be a lot longer for ko samui because it is an island?

Thanks

I've had documents sent to me via DHL from the UK to Bangkok.

No issues with customs (sent on a Friday, arrived the following Monday) with full tracking.

At a guess, Samui 'could' be an extra day perhaps.

Thanks for the reply

Do you know if the person sending the documents have to fill out a customs form?
