tutsi was up all night on the vodka an' ran outta ciggies...it's about 6am an' the local market is in full swing...tutsi swings out the new Crocodile push bike an' wheels it down, unsteady an' hasta walk the bike in the crowded market...

bought the marlboro khao and then had a look at the other veges on offer...got sum collards (good widda bit of pork fat or cumin and garam flour) and sum eggplant with which to make my beloved baba ganoush (a 1 litre jar of tahina back home in the cupboard)...the ladies made fun of my push bike and greasy pony tail but for the food, just weighed it an' 'ha baht...yee sip baht...' no bullshit an' straightforward...

oh, if everything in Thailand could be so simple and friendly...get them immigration fcukers to sell veges inna market...teach them a good lesson...

everyone take note, tutsi is not an ogre...there are sum things about Thailand that I like...

(there were sum lovely cukes and sum weeds on offer that looked like dill but I had a pinch an' a sniff and wasn't convinced...)

you can get tahina from the arab restaurants around soi 3 sukhumwit, same in pattaya near the night market by the walking street - somebody can post it for you if you don't visit that often. I don't think making tahina is a simple thing otherwise thais will already do it

Make you a deal, tutsi. If you give me the hoummos & baba ganoush recipes, I'll send you 2 or 3 tins of garbanzos (can't get dried here!), if the postage isn't too disgustingly expensive! OK? :o

easy enuf to do, babe...for both just get the cooked vegetable, add tahina and lemon (or lime) juice to taste...for the baba ye gotta sear the eggplant over a flame then peel...wid both either use a masher or put it inna blender/food processor...to get the right spreading consistancy

a bit ob salt an' bob's yer uncle...

I love things that are so easily prepared and that taste sooooo good...however, must be served wid fresh arabic bread (pitta is an acceptable substitute)...dem ragheads got it right when it comes to cookin'...

Awesome! But it's worth the wait.

Ah, Jack Palance. Now there was a fine man, gods rest his soul. Did you see Baghdad Cafe?

nah, just remember the villain gunslinger Jim Wilson from Shane...where he taunts Elisha Cook Jr to get him to draw on him...had his .45 on him before he could blink then just smiled for a moment before he plugged him...classic...probly the most cruel and murderous scene in film history...
