A Thai woman was full of praise for the French police and the Thai Embassy after receiving valuables through the post that she lost in Paris at the end of February.

The story was posted on Twitter under the name @topazine and featured a picture of a letter from the Thai embassy in the French capital along with credit cards, Thai ID, ATM card and other items.

The poster had reported the loss of her purse to police but was not sure if she mislaid it or it was theft.

The cash had gone but she was delighted to get back her valuables praising all concerned for their return to her after she had returned to Thailand.

Ah, so they have honest taxi drivers in Paris too. Thought that only happened in Thailand.

Glad to hear that.

Damn! Now the Thais are going to have to search for a French woman so that a taxi driver can "find" her missing purse.

Hmm, not saying the postal service here is slow, but did the last one that arrived say, "Happy tenth birthday"?

Anything remotely resembling a birthday card is the first thing rifled en-route.

I get Foie Gras through the post.  AND that is very valuable.  If you live in CM I'll give you some next time.

Don't dream ! we haven't. It must be a Japanese tourist who found it. Luckily he gave it to the only honest policeman in Paris

My Canadian bank sends all my cards through the post. Even when they

are sending replacement cards to me in Thailand. (Those were sent by

courier and I had them in 48 hours) I have not had any go missing.

Mine refuses.

Used to send them and I always got them.

Won’t do so anymore.
