Some two to kilometres from Pattaya’s Phoenix Golf Gold and Country Club is a small Chinese village called Chak Ngaeo.

 

Every Saturday starting around 15.00 hrs there is a kind of food market in the streets.

 

The village itself is not big but worth a visit as there are many traditional houses. Local people (most of them have Chinese ancestors) are extremely friendly and happy to meet visitors.

 

Below are some pictures to get an impression of the village (taken on Sunday at a  moment that there was no market).

It’s a nice outing on a lazy afternoon.
