It was against the law for a few minutes a year or so ago.

you are correct but THE POLICE changed the ruling......remember they can do what ever they want here !!

It was April the 5th last year when they said NO RIDING IN BACK OF PICKUPS is ALLOWED then a few days later they changed their minds !!!

Thought riding in pick-ups was against the law. Oh thats right the police force has just not got around to enforcing it.So this law against throwing water on road  might as well tell the toad the pm kissed  You think they will pay attention to it?

Why do the Thai authorities make such ridiculous pronouncements?

Does anyone think that the Thai people are going to heed them?

Anyone?

Anyone?

But Ossifer, this is not main road.  Just Sukhumvit/On Nut etc. road but not motorway.  Motorway is main road.  O. K.  throw water here.  General say no oroblem here, not motorway main road!

I agree. Respect for the law is earned by example of those entrusted to enforce such law. Many such virtues are in short supply.

Unfortunately, in this case, when you have thousands of people disobeying the law every hour, there's nothing any law enforcer can do. Monkey see - monkey do is the law during Pattaya's Songkran.
