Chon Buri community comes to aid of ailing woman, struggling husband

By The Nation

Facebook, much maligned lately, has been the agent of rescue for a 74-year-old man in Chon Buri struggling to pay for his paralysed wife’s dialysis treatments.

Prateep Chaikul of Si Ra Cha district has been selling fruit and vegetables from his motorcycle sidecar to raise extra money for the care of his wife, Suchada Phoklang, 48.

A sympathetic Facebook user posted his photo on Facebook and reported his plight, which prompted members of a motorcycle club to visit the couple on Wednesday evening and give them a generous donation.

Prateep said other people have called him and transferred money, and government agencies were also offering assistance.

He has additional specific requests. He needs an electric fan because their rented room gets hot, and his wife needs L-size adult diapers and medical materials to treat bedsores.

Come on Webfact, more details, not half a story.

How can we donate/help?

No details why? I would willingly help, as i think many other TV members would.

He has quoted the complete article. There are no further details to give at this point.

Obviously you are sitting at home with the air-con on, without a care in the world, or no thought for others.

The lack of compassion and humility shown by many on here is truly disturbing.

Thankfully ( hopefully?) they are in a minority
