Former chief of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) Tarit Phengdit was acquitted of defamation charge brought against him by former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban in 2013.

Suthep sued Tarit over a press interview suggesting he abused his authority in ordering the change of the multiple contracts to construct 396 police stations nationwide into a single contract for own benefit.

Suthep said Tarit’s press interview published in five local dailies had defamed his reputation.

when are they going to get him for encroaching onto govt land or is that too much to expect.  Actually that probably applies to both of them, they are both as crooked as a dogs hind leg.

Interesting.

From the news article reporting the decision: 'were not guilty as they presented news which were facts with honesty'.

Maybe the good old 'defamation' defence, which seemed to be the fallback defence for anything you don't want in the public eye, might have a crack or two in it? Lets see.

Which of course no agency bothered to investigate further.

According to the Prayut regime, if a crime has already been committed and harm done, what's the point in addressing it? The crime and harm is done and over.
