My mate needs to do a visa run. He is short on cash, lives in BKK and has done a land border crossing already this year. What are his best options for an over and back to get another visa exempt on a budget?

There is no priority service with TVS, everyone gets treated the same, it doesn't matter if you think you are priority, the van doesn't leave to come back until everyone who is on it has been processed by Immigration

Something you forgot to say is that you need to book the service beforehand to Myanmar, ANYONE can book this trip, if they couldn't he would just say this trip is for Farangs only

 

He actually doesn't make more from Farangs, there is a reason why Fillipinos get the trip cheaper and it has got nothing to do with TVS

 

 

short on cash : early morning train to aranyaprathet 55 baht

then 20 baht green songthaew to border

30usd for cambodia visa plus 100 baht for fast non annoying service

if you miss the return train about 250 baht or less on the bangkok bus from the aranyaprthet bus station

if you have time and stamina and endurance 3rd class train to hatyai. bus to border or may get a train to padang besar. visa is free to malaysia so would work out cheaper. if you also have bravery sungai golok is also a train option

 

thai immigration may give you grief at aranyaprthet border. there is a new crossing no too far away but havent figured out the connections probably have to go from sakaew . anyone got the bus /songthaew connections  to the new border crossing?

There is a gamblers bus leaves Bic C Minburi between 0800 and 0900 daily heading to Poipet  casinos 300 baht return

Returns 1600

really l never hurd of Mynmar..l used to use Piopet Cambodia. But cost me around 1700 BAHT.. 2000 with food is ok

yes. he started the myanmar buses a month or so ago

there's a restaurant on the border where you can choose your food whilst they do the paperwork. they photocopy passport(you don't even need a passport photo) and fill out all the forms for you whilst you eat. no one page visa sticker either. good service . 2k all in

For Kanchanaburi we will use VIP Van, which was not possible for the Ban Laem trip. Border Kanchanaburi has, specially for Western passport holder, many advantages (better price, no waste a page for visa sticker and it is closer to Bangkok

It means exactly what he says, can you show me where it says that Filipinos are not allowed on the bus to Kanchanaburi and that only Farangs will be allowed on it?

i know why but i also know he makes more profit from westerners as he told me. and yes the filipinos can take the bus but westerners will get priority. anyway getting a bit boring now mate. the OP has the website should he choose to use it
