As PoorSucker says, Fisherman Village is a very good choice, but also The Wharf at the sea-side, and a number of possibilities can be found on the Ring Road. Cheap and good local Thai food can also be found by the Ring Road, for example close the traffic light intersection in the 24-hour restaurant. Either down on the beach with nice tea candles and lights, or up on top in the net lounges near the bar Link for dinner. Easy 5 minute walk East after drinks at Coco Tams.
