Please confirm an extend retirement stay at CW 45 days before

Featured Replies

My OA retirement visa stay expires July 2, and this would be the third year I am extending my stay on it. Would someone with actual recent experience please confirm that I can go apply for extension at Chaeng Wattana 45 days it expires, that is, before July 2? The 45 days does not include July 2, does it? If it does not, that would put me at Friday, May 18. I'd prefer to do it on Friday instead of waiting out the weekend. So I can make travel plans. I know I need to have had the 800,000 in the bank three months before the day I apply. Is there anything else I need to know about such early application? Thank you for your help.

You an apply up to 45 days before the date your extension of stay (is not a OA visa) based upon retirement expires. It does not include the date of expiration.

Is the fact that you can do it 45 days before written down somewhere? I could not find. And do you know anyone who has actually done it 45 days before?  Thanks for your help.

Doing it up to 45 days early has been the rule at Chaeng Wattana immigration for some time now. There have been several report of people doing it that early.

But it does for 90 day reports.  31-45 days early requires proof of travel at Nonthaburi, don't know about CW.

I honestly cannot think of any reason for somebody else at the bank could not sign the letter when the manager is not there.

Also for most banks the letter can be obtained at any branch.

But yes depending on the Officer tomorrow say 3 days early and not a big deal and he has had no trouble before and Kanchanaburi very helpful and friendly. Let's hope he will be ok
