Taking this Raspberry Pi cluster to the U.S - any problems with security?

Greetings to all!

I will be taking my Raspberry Pi and ODROID clusters to the U.S. and back this summer. A friend asked me if I might have any problems transporting them in checked storage? The thought never occurred to me, but being so highly electronic looking -- maybe security will hesitate? I could disassemble them and pack in a box suitable for electronic boards and the like, but I'd rather enclose them in thick foam in my large luggage case and take it mostly as is. What do you think?

I guess the most sensible thing to do is to disassemble them. So that's what I will do.

Make a list of what it is.

I've just recently completed the Pi cluster and case physically. All are running independently on my local area network. I am next going to determine what various cluster management software allows them to eventually do jointly. In the end I want my cluster to be heterogeneous in term of hardware and operating systems. In addition to the Raspberry Pii and ODROIDs, I also have several OrangePi, BeagleBone, LibreBoard, a Parallella 16-core server, an Intel NUC, an Intel Atom X8350, and Udoo X86 on the way all of which will be added to my cluster. Today I am going to begin investigating "Docker" and what it is capable to doing/managing. Docker is a platform for distributed applications and is an IT industry hot spot these days. Highly non-trivial to learn, understand and use but well worth the time investment (for me anyway). Lots to do to make use of my unlimited free time here in LOS.
