August 11, 2025Aug 11 Popular Post Picture from CCTV courtesy of Amarin A senator charged with robbing the corpse of a car crash victim in 2021 is now facing a potential ethics probe by the Senate, it was reported on 11 August. Bang Pakong police in Chachoengsao province have filed charges with the Attorney General and the Criminal Court against the unnamed senator, who allegedly stole valuables from the body of a man killed when his car overturned on the Bang Na Expressway, about a kilometre from Bang Wua subdistrict, at 23:50 on 31 May 2021. The incident was caught on CCTV. Rescuers arriving at the scene found good bystanders already assisting the injured. The deceased’s family later reported seven missing items worth around 2 million baht, including two mobile phones, a pair of designer glasses, a Louis Vuitton bag, an eight-baht-weight gold necklace, a gold-framed amulet and 120,000 baht in cash. Police reviewing the CCTV footage saw a truck stop near the crash site, with two men exiting to help. One of them was identified as the senator. He later admitted to stealing from the victim, returning only the Louis Vuitton bag and one mobile phone. The senator has a history of legal troubles. In 2011, he was fined for operating an illegal lottery in Chonburi. In 2016, he was prosecuted for owning a fishing vessel without a legally required tracking system. Earlier this year, a woman accused him of sexual harassment. Despite these allegations, the Election Commission has stated that the senator may continue performing his duties because the corpse robbery case is still ongoing and his previous convictions do not disqualify him from holding office. The Senate’s ethics committee is now expected to consider whether his actions breach the upper chamber’s code of conduct. Adapted by Asean Now from Amarin 2025-08-12

August 12, 2025Aug 12 Popular Post Come on, this is Thailand, corruption is part and parcel to being part of the govt, drug dealers, body thieves, grafters etc are all welcome and the "courts" refuse to do the right thing even with the evidence against them, graft & corruption reign supreme in Thailand

August 12, 2025Aug 12 Popular Post It takes a special kind of vermin to rob a corpse, one which practices worshiping at the altar of the golden calf. A man so devoid of morality, they money and possessions mean everything, integrity and doing the right thing means nothing. This is not a real man, this is a ghost, a reptile, this is a pale shadow of a real man, this is a thug and somebody who needs to be locked up rather than being put in a position of representing the people. This thug should be named, he should be shamed, and he should be called out, and he should be living with that shame and embarrassment for the rest of his days. Let us give his parents an F grade. They failed.

The woman was a former TV newsreader apparently. She filed a report and is named on the Web. Also a photo of her standing in front of a police station and perhaps another video of her speaking to reporters. Didn't watch it. There are photos of the alleged sexual assault on there too. Remember who put these guys in the Senate. Do you still want another military coup? Also, his Senate duties specifically mention fishing... I mean you couldn't make this stuff up.
August 12, 2025Aug 12 Author Troll post removed. The picture is from the Thai media and is taken from CCTV of the reported incident. The media has used the censor caption to cover the corpse. Try discussing the topic and not the picture if you don’t want posts removed.

August 12, 2025Aug 12 It seems normal in Thailand that corpses are being robbed, people told me recently... If you wear valuable items they disappear when you get a fatal accident. However if a politician is doing it, it is even worse.. They should make laws to protect people from this kind of practices instead of doing it themselves.. Only one solution for it.. jail them and fire them for a lifetime

August 13, 2025Aug 13 Popular Post Before marrying me my wife said she would not drive outside cities of a night because it was too dangerous, one of her friends was shot while driving in the country then her body/car was robbed after the crash, she said this happened more than was being reported. She also said that large rocks were being thrown from walking bridges onto cars to cause them to crash so they could also be robbed, again she said it happened a lot more than was being reported, there are thais that will do what ever it takes to get money even when it involved killing people. Amother of her friends lost her husband after he won a govt bid to take up a contract that was wanted by others, he was shot shortly after the winning bid as there was a lot of financial rewards involved, you only have to read the news to see just how many are killed for money in Thailand, corruption etc is too embedded in everyday life which is a real pity as its a great country to live in
