CityNews – Chiang Mai’s moat water is safe for Songkran, after the final tests on the water were conducted yesterday.

 

The Deputy Mayor of Chiang Mai, along with a number of public health officers, representatives from Mae Jo and Chiang Mai Universities, the Provincial Waterworks Authority and the Environmental Office, gathered at the moat yesterday, April 10th, to check the quality of the water one more time before Songkran begins.

 

The water has undergone a series of both natural and chemical treatments over the last few weeks, including dredging, replacing old water with new water, restoring water using hyacinths and water lotuses that help absorb chemicals and impurities and treating the water with chlorine to eradicate bacteria.

I still wouldn't trust it after years of medical problems caused by this Moat water.    Let see some independent Foreign testing and look at those results as testing 'The Thai way' can never be trusted in any circumstances.
