A 56 year old Prachuap Khiri Khan woman was brutally murdered while using the handicapped toilets at a Chumpon store on Wednesday.

Chumpon police and rescue services rushed to the store where they found Thassanee Chaisri, 56, lying on the floor of the handicapped toilets with multiple stab wounds to he body. There was a lot of blood.

She was found wearing underwear but her long trousers were around her ankles and her shirt was pushed up around her shoulders.

She had a weak pulse and was rushed to the Thonburi Chumpon Hospital but was soon pronounced dead.

Witnesses saw a tall thin man man wearing denim shorts and a blue top run from the toilet area onto a Yamaha motorcycle number 853 with Kamphaeng Phet plates. This was confirmed by CCTV.

Niranan Netrak of the Chumpon police said that the victim came from Thongchai sub-district of Bang Saphan and was the wife of a wealthy fishing ship owner called Suthin Chinyo.

Initial investigations showed that a two baht weight (40,000 baht value) gold chain was missing from the victim but police are unsure as yet whether robbery or a personal conflict are the reasons for the murder.

The name of the store was not in the Daily News story.

Tesco Lotus is located in Wang Phai sub-district of Chumpon.
