Non-Immigration (O) - 1 Year extension

Is anyone up to date with the latest requirements for a 1 year extension to a Non-Immigration (O) visa?  - Dependant or Spouse

Extensions are obtained from your local Immigration office.

 

Only a new Non Imm O Visa can be obtained from a Thai Embassy/Consulate in Lao or Malaysia.

 

Do you want a new Visa, or to extend your permission to stay from your existing Non Imm O Visa ?

You would apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai at your local immigration office.

You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months on the date you apply or proof of 40k baht income.

I have a Thai born son, and will be formalising the paperwork for marriage in the next weeks.

A letter or affidavit from your Embassy.

1. Visas are issued by Embassies (or consulates) outside Thailand

2.  Thai immigration inside Thailand can convert from one visa type to another visa type under certain circumstances.

3. When you enter Thailand, an immigration officer stamps on your password the date you entered and an Admitted Until Date.

4. You must leave the country on or before Admitted Until Date.

5. If you want to stay in Thailand beyond Admitted Until Date, you must extend it at an Immigration Office inside Thailand.
