Politico’s Daughter Arrested Packing Grenades For Songkran

AMNAT CHAROEN — A former politician’s daughter was arrested Monday for carrying two hand grenades in her bag to play Songkran.

 

Nichapa Chantawara, daughter of a former Democrat Party MP, was arrested in Amnat Charoen province along with her boyfriend Pitchatorn Prasansi for possessing two M67 grenades. They were riding a motorbike home after playing Songkran in the Khemmarat district when they were stopped at a checkpoint.

so who is going to be punished more severely - the business women selling plastic water pistols or this couple carrying x2 lethal hand grenades 

Is it possible to find a way to blame red shirt elements  for that. 

Surely it wasn't a democrat. ?

I noticed the punishment is similar to smoking on the beach, witch has a higher fine I believe.

The parents should be severely with too. How do they allow their kids to access this kind of thing and not know it!

Think the fine for the grenades will be lower than the one for her not wearing her helmet !

She was carrying the grenades ready for the evening, she was going to get a climatic bang even if the boyfriend didnt perform.

were they decorative grenades or actual live working ones?

She was told to bring water bombs, but just got confused.

Im glad that a thorough investigation would not find the origin of said grenades at a Thai army headquarters  .

Hmm,..interesting question !

Thais really have no imagination, always the same excuses, breaks failed, or carrying weapons, guns or grenades, and say they were for protection only! And of course sent home with a slap on the wrist.   

No doubt sweet <deleted> will happen to them as they are "connected".... double standards as usual in the LOS, where everybody is supposedly treated equally in the eyes of the law according to Prayut... must dash, just saw a flying pig...

Come on what are all you guys on about.. its perfectly logical to have a few grenades for defense. These guys are democrats, they have to protect themselves from the PTP goons. The best weapon for self defense is a grenade, everyone knows that. They also are much safer then guns, never any collateral damage.

While I don't know to which political party she might be connected - knowing the red shirts' outstanding history of violence- it seems much more likely that it is them - if it has to to with political groups at all.

The article states she is the daughter of a former democrat mp.

Knowing the outstanding history of yellow shirts sneaky violent acts designed to specifically implicate the reds, that were entirely innocent of said violence. It doesn't surprise me that you would be in denial that a democrat is in the headlines with grenades. 

 

This statement must be allowed also.

I think that would be a fair comment if they were "kids" - but these two are 24 years old.

They both did, the yellows were armed with machine guns and set off bombs when they shut down the airport.

I’m pretty sure it’s just a matter of being misunderstood. They said Songkran but she heard Songkram (battle/war).
