30 day visa exempt actual duration?

Featured Replies

I will be travelling from New York to Bangkok next month with the 30 visa exempt. I wanted to know when does the 30 day period start/end?
My flight leaves on 2nd May and arrives in BKK on 4th May 5AM. My return flight leaves from BKK on 2nd June 8PM and arrives in JFK on 3rd June.
Will my stay be covered within the 30day visa exempt? According to my calculation, June 2 will be my 30th day, counting 4th May as Day 1. Is this correct? Will I have any problems with the airline when boarding either?
Thank you very much!

June 2nd is correct.

No problem with the airline since you have a flight out on the 2nd,

Day one is the day of arrival ...... 29 days later you must leave unless an extension of stay is applied for during the last couple of weeks of your stay.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I appreciate it. I was getting a bit worried that I might be overstaying a day in case I miscalculated the days. Your confirmations gave me peace of mind.
