billd766 Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 I have Ubuntu 6.06 installed on my spare laptop but I am not as happy with it as I had hoped. How can I uninstall Ubuntu, format the drive and go back to Windows XP? Can anybody help me? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Phil Conners Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Stick your Windows CD in the PC, reboot, delete the Linux partition and create a new Windows... You may have to delete the Linux partition from Ubuntu first. Open a shell, run 'fdisk /dev/hda' (or whatever your disk is called), then delete all partitions, write and save. Reboot.
