I just want to ask is there anybody who has had just under 6 months passport validity and used a visa run company ( Jack Golf etc, ) to obtain a visa exempt 30 days stamp of permission to stay? My reason for asking is that I wondered if going with a visa run company might help because of the visa requirement for Cambodia or Laos.

It really doesn't matter if you use a visa run company or go by yourself. Officers are not more lenient if you use Jack Golf or other company.

Correct , Visa Run Services can not negotiate on your behalf.

Basicly at the Border to Cambodia they are not so strict.

No way that you get into Laos and secure a Tourist Visa if Passport is not valid or another 6 month.
