Pet tortoises to buy

Featured Replies

Hello there

Can anyone advise me on where I can legally buy a pet tortoise in Bangkok?

Also, any advice on which kinds would be suitable to keep at home?

Thanks

Hi Andy,

I have a Sulcata I would be willing to rehome to the right family.  Do you have a yard?  She is not a tiny baby, but still very small compared to what she will be!  My boyfriend found her wandering around the woods, likely someone else's dumped pet.  We've had  her a few months but she does need a lot of care.  I haven't had to travel since I got her, but I worry about finding someone to look after her properly if I'm not home.  If you would be interested in taking her on long-term, I'm willing to part with her.  She's healthy, thriving, active, growing and adorable.  I attached a couple of photos - PM me if you're interested!

Kind regards,

Mara

Hi Mara

I'm moving to Bangkok in a couple of weeks. Then the househunting begins.

Once I've found a house and seen what kind of outside space we've got, I can get back to you.

He lokks lovely and I think my kids would be delighted with him.

I should be able to let you know in a month or so.

Thanks for contacting me

I mean 'she'!

She could very well be a he!  From what I've been told, sulcata babies always look female until they reach sexual maturity around 8-10 years of age, so only time will tell.
