To be honest I am not sure exactly what is burning. Someone said they lost their lease and were dismantling the place, but that is speculation I believe.

Maybe it's that mini volcano with a flame thrower inside. 

Bring back Washington Square.

Not the first time they had a fire there.  There was another fire there a year+ ago.

There website a few weeks ago announced they were closing down and removing the park, so i presume this was either a quick way to try and get rid of some garbage or an unintentional way of removing the park.

 

It was always a temporary park, just waiting for the landowner to decide what to do with the land. I believe it will be called Stratosphere or Hemosphere or something like that. I expect another mixed use scheme. You would of thought you could not get anymore, but Emporium, Emquartier are packed.

 

The only thing that small area is missing for the owners is a proper 5 star hotel, so i expect they will include one in the new development, although its a huge site so hopefully there will be good activities to be had other than just shopping and eating.

The whole of Sukhumvit below Asoke is a dinosaur, filled with ugly old falang dinosaur cave men and their dumb bar girl hooker wives/GFs.
