Not looking - on her phone as most Thai drivers are.

I nearly got run over last week by an undertaking car driver on a Pedestrian Crossing who was too busy with their mobile to look out of the windscreen.

1 year ban and 10% of annual income fine, any other offense within 10 years, 5 years in jail.

But, nobody enforces the law so it will never happen.

 

The only solution is to sack the entire police force and build a new one up under the direct supervision of a western country who actually have a non-corrupt police force who actually do police work.

Ok, I got to ask the question. Every day I see cars and motorbikes go through red lights. Not a cop in sight if there is a cop around that area  they do nothing  So the question is 

 

Why do Thais drive through red lights

 

A   They are colour blind

 

B    They are inpatient

 

C      They know the cops are so weak and lazy that they will never be booked over it

 

D       They have no idea about road rules and are brain dead

 

E        All of the above

-Grow up from uneducated childhood believing if they are not first they are last

 

-they know they can break the law with impunity

 

-no grasp of basic physics

 

-clueless to their surroundings similar to the Chinese you see who constantly walk     into things

 

-they have someplace very important they need to be. Lol !!

It makes your blood boil when u see this happen and now someone has died over it   Don't you at least think the cops on seeing someone get killed because someone went straight through a red light and try and enforce the law to stop them from doing this.  I guarantee 2 cops could sit on set on lights and book 500 cars and motorbikes a day going through red lights. But that is work I guess
