Old man trying to find his daughter tugs at the heartstrings of Thais online

Netizens were touched by the story of a Chumpon man who left home with just 300 baht in his pocket to try and find his daughter in Kanchanaburi.

 

Praphan, 80, searched high and low but could find no trace of her. He only knew that she worked somewhere in the western Thai city.

 

Finally he ran out of money and was begging for something to eat when he met a kind Thai man and his friends who listened to his sad story.

 

His wife had died six or seven years ago now he had no one. He could only walk a bit after hurting his leg. So he left home on April 29th to try and find his daughter.

 

Now he had run out of money.

 

The story was recounted on the Facebook page of "Persia Jongtawon".

 

The poster said they got him something to eat then had a whip round to get him money then took him to the train station so that he could at least have some meager funds and get back home to Chumpon.
