Inward immigration, both legal and illegal plays a small part in taking jobs, but there are many graduates leaving universities these days with degrees that are all but useless in today's employment environment. The biggest fault though lies with successive government's policies. Be it in education, business, or social. Labour's tax on private schools was just mean. as was the getting rid of grammar schools. More technical colleges and apprenticeships should be pushed. Not everyone can be a Business Administrator or Race and Gender Equality Officer. There is now an underclass of people on the social, or "The Feed 'em all" as a friend likes to call it, that have never worked, nor have any intention of working. I knew people that were on it when I was living in the UK. It is the same system that attracts many migrants here instead of stopping in Europe.. Come from some <deleted>hole and get given free money, housing. medical care and clothing. It all has to be paid for from somewhere. When is enough? The whole system needs sorting from top to bottom.
