according to the official website, police clearance forms take up to four weeks to process, and require much documentation.  if the clearance is to be used for a work visa, applicant is to provide a copy of the work contract or work permit.  difficult to do if the foreign employer requires a police clearance first.

can someone recommend an agent who can get a police clearance for a thai person quickly and with fewer documents?

The police clearance website has a button on it for "By Out source" that takes you to this website. https://www.a-plusservice.com/

I am just curious I know you are very knowledgable about Visas in Thailand.

Are you for or against someone using an agency?

Just for the record I used one for my first retirement Visa, but have done it myself since.

I have no problems with them.

In this case it is acceptable since it is recommended by the police clearance center.

If a person wants to use an agency to assist them with an application it is fine. If the agent is used to get around the requirements for a extension application I do not approve of it.

Not trying to derail your thread, but just a question about a police clearance for foreigners. After looking at Siam ....., I've decided to do it on my own. Could I do my fingerprints, etc at the local police station? Thanks for any advice.

P.S. From the link:

5.The original fingerprint 2 set (Taken by The Thai police PCC at Bangkok by our contact only because in case of you stay in Thailand now you need to take fingerprint by Thai police PCC in Bangkok only ,they will not accept the fingerprint from the local police in Thailand except you stay abroad can take by the local police in your country or Thai Consulate and Thai Embassy)

If you do it yourself at the police clearance center they will do the fingerprints when you apply. Requirements are here on their website. http://pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/filedownload/infomation-service-4.pdf

What you quoted from the agents site does not make sense if you are sending the document by mail to them. If use them I suggest you contact them about it.

Thank you very much, I've just copied and pasted that from the above link.

I thought that there's a way to go to your local police station and get it done starting from there.

I have seen posts stating they got one from the local police but never any proof of it or when. As far as I know Bangkok it the only place where you can apply for one.

You might want to try the provincial Special Branch Police office to see if they can request it.

The police station isn't far away and my neighbor is a big shot. Will try if it's possible, i've read some posts before, but can't remember where. Thanks again and I'll report back.
