Uh...? What about the Search function ?

At least 2 persons wrote about their experience from YESTERDAY

to renew their Retirement Extension at Jomtien...  Here:

Yes I saw them both thank you, but one post was about the fast service, and the other reiterated the fast service and the required docs using the Embassy letter (for income method).

My post was asking for the doc's required for the 800k method.

So if you have info on that then thanks.

Didn't hear that changed for years...

So instead of the Embassy letter you need a Bank letter and (some?) copies of your bank passbook.

That's 1900B.

I find that regardless of how many pages of my passport or bankbook I photocopy, they always want one more, though they usually do that themselves with their scanner/printer rather than make me walk to the photocopier machine and pay for it.

How long would it normally take to process a succesful application once all the necessary papers are submitted ?

About 2 minutes....

at the end of which you get a number ticket to get back your passport the following day.

If you have deposit account with the 800k in it make sure the Bank letter says Deposit account

If you are using a current account with more that 800k in it make sure the bank letter says Current account

As the letter is in Thai someone will have to read and confirm it for you but a wrong description will get the application rejected and require you to go back to the bank and get it re written

The amount on the letter and the amount in the book need to be exactly the same
